University Professional and Development Centre - Bury St Edmunds 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year - 12-month Fixed Term Contract Salary: 25,875 to 28,155 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications)
We are looking for a proactive and motivated Healthy Behaviours Community Coordinator to lead the design and delivery of early intervention programmes focused on healthy lifestyles and wellbeing. This role works across education settings, from primary and secondary schools to post-18 provision - to promote positive behaviour change and reduce health inequalities.

As part of a collaborative team, you will work closely with schools, families, healthcare partners, and the wider West Suffolk Alliance. You will use local population health data to target support, build trusted relationships with families, and act as an advocate for those facing barriers to health and wellbeing.

Your work will help deliver real outcomes aligned with the West Suffolk Alliance Delivery Plan - reducing the risk of poor diet, inactivity, and preventable health issues while also promoting access to education, training and employment opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate healthy behaviour programmes in local education settings. Provide support and advocacy for families and individuals. Use health data to deliver targeted interventions in the community. Partner with schools, NHS, and social care providers to align messaging and services. Contribute to funding bids and evaluate programme impact.
