Qualified Hearing Care Assistant
to join our expanding team.
Role Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and fully qualified
Hearing Care Assistant
to support our audiology team in delivering high-quality hearing care services. The role involves a combination of clinical support, hearing aid maintenance, and patient education, with a strong emphasis on customer care and professional standards. The ideal candidate will be confident working across multiple locations and have a genuine passion for helping people improve their hearing health.
Key Responsibilities
Assist audiologists in clinical procedures
Conduct hearing screenings and otoscopic examinations (as per training and scope)
Clean, service, and perform minor repairs on hearing aids and related devices
Educate patients on hearing aid use, care, and maintenance
Manage patient follow-ups and aftercare appointments
Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation
Support stock control and inventory of hearing aid components
Ensure clinic rooms and equipment are clean, prepared, and fully operational
Travel between clinics (Port Solent, Emsworth, and other South Coast locations as needed)
Requirements
Qualified Hearing Care Assistant
(must hold formal certification/qualification recognised in the UK)
Proven experience in a hearing care setting or audiology clinic
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Proficient with clinical systems and Microsoft Office suite
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the South Coast
Desirable Skills
Working knowledge of one main hearing aid manufacturers and product ranges
Experience with hearing aid programming software (basic level)
Previous work in private hearing care or ENT settings
