Heat Treatment Operator

Based in Redditch

- easily commutable from Birmingham, Bromsgrove, Kidderminster, Droitwich, Solihull, Worcester, Evesham, and surrounding areas

14.00 per hour + shift allowance

Shifts available:

Weekday Nights (Mon-Thurs), Weekend Nights (Fri-Sun), or Weekend Days (Fri-Sun)

Our client is seeking skilled

Heat Treatment Operators

to join their busy manufacturing team. This role is critical in ensuring furnaces, quenches, and associated equipment are operated safely, efficiently, and to exacting industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform and record daily checks on furnaces and quench systems. Assist with furnace loading and unloading, following loading plans. Operate overhead cranes and forklift trucks to handle parts. Break down loads from baskets into suitable containers for transfer. Train to operate and monitor the digital recording system to control furnaces. Accurately record all required information with strong attention to detail. Work to NADCAP, customer, and company specifications under technical and conformance guidance. Use correct PPE and follow all health & safety procedures. Monitor equipment, reporting issues and raising deviation forms where necessary. Maintain strong communication with supervisors, laboratory, and other departments to ensure smooth production flow.

About You

Previous experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment (heat treatment experience highly advantageous). Confident operating machinery and equipment with a focus on safety. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions. Good communication and teamwork skills. Forklift licence and overhead crane experience desirable (training provided if required).
