We are an independent company based in Whickham, that specialise in plumbing, heating and gas services. As the company is expanding
,
we are currently looking for an experienced heating engineer and plumber with a good working knowledge of domestic gas installations to join our growing team.
The role will be varied and day to day,you will be responsible for carrying out boiler installations, repairing, and maintaining systems. Annual servicing and undertaking fault finding to diagnose and repair faults. To do this, you will have domestic gas qualifications and experience in delivering a high level of workmanship and customer service to our long-standing established clients.
Our team is responsible for anything from large new build projects, plant room installation
to planned maintenance and repairs in commercial buildings, therefore any commercial experience would be advantageous.
The role requires undertaking general plumbing jobs and working as part of a team to first
and second fix bathrooms.
This is a great opportunity for a person who enjoys working in a small team, for an independent company with varied day to day responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be reliable and a great team player, as well as someone who can work confidently alone when required.
Example Duties:
Heating System Installation - Install gas boilers, conversions, cylinders and full system installations.
Complete servicing and repairs to gas boilers.
Plumbing Repairs - carry out necessary repairs to domestic plumbing systems, ensuring all work meets high standards.
Bathroom installations as part of a larger team.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified professional, have excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills capable of working to a high standard, taking pride in their work.
You will also have a friendly can-do attitude, be reliable and work well alone or as part of a team.
Requirements:
Wide experience of gas installation, maintenance and repair work knowledge required
Strong plumbing skills with the ability to troubleshoot common issues
5+ years post experience after apprenticeship
CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1 gas qualifications
CSCS (Preferrable)
Full UK Driving Licence (Essential)
Excellent communication skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively when working alone
Able to adapt to the company's needs in the way we deliver our service
