We are seeking a skilled Heating Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating systems in residential properties. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Duties
Install and maintain heating systems, including boilers, radiators, and underfloor heating.
Conduct regular inspections and servicing of heating equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot and repair heating system faults efficiently.
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installations or repairs.
Collaborate with plumbing teams to integrate heating systems seamlessly into existing infrastructure.
Lift and move heavy equipment as required during installation processes.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
Opportunities to continue professional development in the industry. This would include installation of Heat Pumps, Air Conditioning Units and regular manufacturers course can be attended.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Heating Engineer or in a similar role is essential.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex heating systems.
Must hold CCN1, CENWAT & CKR1 gas qualifications.
Unvented Hot water certificate is advantageous but not essential.
Proficiency in using hand tool and power tools.
Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to installations.
Experience in plumbing is advantageous but not essential.
A valid UK driving licence and own vehicle is essential.
Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely.
Gas safe registration essential
Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
This role is self employed initially with the opportunity to become fully employed for the right candidate.
