About The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer (HVAC biased), who has knowledge and experience of reactive maintenance and PPMs on industrial Plant, such as boilers, HVAC and everything mechanical. Ideally, you will be based in or around Edinburgh and will occasionally have the opportunity to travel across other sites within the estate.
What you will be doing?
Attend and carry out planned/reactive/additional works across the contract's estate.
Undertake fault finding on LTHW pressure heating water systems, critical systems, and equipment.
Carry out planned preventative maintenance, inspections, commissioning, and testing in accordance with published procedures, completing all report sheets and test certificates as necessary and mark up any drawing alterations.
Use of all relevant tools and equipment within safety guidelines as necessary for the completion of works, ensuring full compliance with the companies' guidelines and controls e.g. Risk Assessment, Site Safety, Fire Safety, and Hazardous Substances
Attend all jobs issued which may include non-mechanical jobs for which you have the necessary skills and knowledge to undertake.
Undertake all tasks as directed by supervisors or other line management and jobs issued by the Helpdesk.
Attend Tool-Box-Talks, training and meetings as directed by management
About you
FM and construction experience in public buildings (advantageous)
Industry recognised Mechanical/Engineering apprenticeship, C&G, Scotvec (SVQ3), or equivalent
Ability to read and interoperate engineering drawings and building plans
Experience with mobile CAFM systems
Full driving licence, due to travel requirements
Excellent Customer Service skills
Good Written/verbal communication Skills
Adaptable and flexible approach to work requirements
Desire to understand and promote the Company purpose, vision, values and culture
This role includes a DS Level 1 check therefore ability to pass is essential.
As well as working core hours you will be required to partake in the call out rota.
All work must be done to current legislative and best industry standards.
