Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heating Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and a comprehensive understanding of heating systems. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating systems in both residential and commercial settings. The Heating Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all systems operate efficiently and safely, adhering to industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair heating systems, including boilers, radiators, and underfloor heating. Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics to identify issues with heating equipment. Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to perform tasks effectively. Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless integration of heating systems with plumbing and electrical installations. Carry out assembly tasks for various components of heating systems. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Adhere to health and safety regulations while performing heavy lifting and working in various environments. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their heating needs.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Heating Engineer or in a similar role is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex heating issues. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations. Experience in plumbing and carpentry is advantageous. A valid commercial driving licence is beneficial for transportation of materials to job sites. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
