Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heating Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating systems across various settings. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, practical skills with hand and power tools, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in diverse environments. Responsibilities

Install, service, and repair renewable heating systems, and associated equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial premises. Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal system performance and safety compliance. Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and plumbing fittings to assemble and modify heating components. Perform basic carpentry tasks related to system installation or refurbishment projects. Troubleshoot mechanical issues using specialised knowledge of heating systems and associated components. Carry out heavy lifting of equipment or materials safely as part of installation or maintenance activities. Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and system condition reports. Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations during all operations to minimise risks on-site.

Experience

Proven experience working as a Heating Engineer or in a similar role within the plumbing or mechanical trades. Demonstrable skills with welding, hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques. Knowledge of plumbing systems and basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations. Experience with carpentry work related to heating system installation is desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various environments. Valid driving licence suitable for commercial driving is advantageous but not essential. Familiarity with working on commercial or industrial heating systems is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided where necessary.
