Gibson & Goold (Ayr) Ltd was established in 1954 and remains an independent family-run business with around 50 employees.

We offer a very diverse range of skills and services to our ever expanding client base, including; customer service staff, fireplace builders, plumbers, heating and gas engineers, renewable energy experts, bathroom designers and installers, tilers, electricians and roof slaters.

Here at Gibson & Goold, we cover the service, maintenance and installation of domestic/commercial gas, oil, biomass, air source and ground source heat pumps. We recognize that we cover various types of heat producers - for the right candidate we would be willing to invest time and training to get the chosen candidate up to the required level to work with us.

A willingness to learn and develop your skills within the industry is essential along with recognized qualifications of either Gas Safe, OFTEC or HETAS.

Duties:

Repair and maintain heating systems in residential and commercial buildings. Diagnose and troubleshoot heating system issues. Assemble and disassemble heating system components. Conduct servicing and inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time. Ability to work independently as well maintaining and update job sheets appropriately.
Requirements:

Must have either a domestic or commercial gas qualification. Oil qualification would be beneficial but is not an essential. Interest or knowledge on renewable heating systems. Driving license is required. Mechanical knowledge to diagnose and repair heating systems.
