Full Time with paid study release to attend college.

MUST HAVE A FULL UK DRIVING LICENSE

Overview

Due to company growth, we are currently looking for a talented Trainee Service and Maintenance Engineer to join our nationwide service team to be based in Horsham West Sussex but not limited too. You will either be on a relevant college course, or expected to enrol on one. We can help find the right course.

The Company

WNV-Systems has over 30 years' experience in designing, building and installing commercial vehicle wash equipment.

Our customers are local authorities, haulage companies and the largest bus organisations throughout the UK and Europe.

We have a dedicated service team of engineers located throughout the UK and Ireland and a network of engineers based overseas which extends our service across Europe.

Mainly based in Horsham West Sussex but travel around the UK and staying away is an essential part of this role

What we ask

As a trainee service & maintenance engineer, you will be fully trained on all aspects of the job and our products, services, and systems.

This includes:

Fundamentals of operative maintenance

Extensive in-house product training to gain the knowledge and skills required to prepare, service and maintain our product range

Obtaining and following correct work instructions, extracting the necessary data/information and related documentation to carry out diagnosis and repairs

Carry out logical fault finding using maintenance diagnostic techniques to repair and maintain equipment

Testing and calibration of devices

Electrical, plumbing, hydraulics and mechanical assembly and testing techniques

Planned maintenance, to ensure optimum product performance

Optimum use of spare parts relating to diagnose, repair and maintenance

Identify and deal appropriately with any risks, hazards, hazardous situations and problems that may occur within the engineering environment within the limits of responsibility

Work safely at all times, complying with health and safety legislation, regulations, environmental compliance procedures and systems and other relevant guidelines

You will need

As a Trainee service & maintenance engineer, you should possess the following skills and attributes:

Technical mindset and ability to problem solve

Interest in electrical, plumbing, hydraulics and mechanical maintenance

Basic IT skills - MS Office, and ability to understand and use a booking system on a tablet

Self-motivated - able to work both independently and as part of a team

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Full UK driving licence
