Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling and fitting components and structures in accordance with engineering specifications. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Duties

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and assembly of components. Assemble and fit metal parts using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Inspect finished products for quality assurance to ensure they meet company standards. Collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot issues during the fitting process. Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency. Follow all safety protocols and procedures while operating machinery and handling materials.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Fitter or in a similar role within manufacturing or construction environments. Strong understanding of mechanical systems and blueprints. Proficiency in using various tools such as grinders, saws, drills, and welding equipment. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure. Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in fitting or related fields is preferred.
