Job Description

The role

We are looking for additional skilled Heavy Plant Mechanics to join our existing Workshop Team. The main purpose of the role is to diagnose problems, maintain, repair and refurbish our fleet of recycling plant (shredders and screeners) for both our own hire fleet and also for our customer owned equipment.

What we offer

Competitive starting salary range of 40,000 to 42,000 per annum. Holidays: Starting at 23 days plus bank holidays, rising to 25 days plus bank holidays Birthday off each year. Holiday buy and sell scheme. Overtime: Offered outside core hours at 1.5 times basic rate. Hours: 42.5 per week. Core hours are 7.30am to 4.30pm. Employee Profit Share Bonus. The person

The successful candidates will have the relevant qualifications and background in mechanical engineering. Knowledge of heavy plant will be essential, and previous experience with shredders and screeners would be a major advantage, Must have knowledge on hydraulic and electrical systems.

Candidates must be able to work in a team, have good timekeeping, have their own hand tools, fault find quickly and have a good standard of workmanship and appreciation of health and safety required.

Must have own transport due to our semi rural location and live within a reasonable commuting distance of Knutsford/Holmes Chapel, Cheshire.
