Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heidelberg Litho Machine Minder / Press Minder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in operating lithographic printing presses. This role involves overseeing the printing process, ensuring quality control, and maintaining equipment efficiency. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the operation of the press while adhering to safety standards and production schedules.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor Heidelberg lithographic printing presses to ensure optimal performance. Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery to prevent downtime. Prepare materials for printing, including setting up inks, plates, and substrates. Perform quality checks on printed materials to ensure they meet specifications. Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and maintain workflow efficiency. Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations. Assist with assembly tasks as required, including fabricating components when necessary.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues effectively. Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to the printing industry. Experience in sewing and fabrication techniques is advantageous. Previous warehouse experience is preferred, particularly in a manufacturing environment. Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily tasks. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control during the printing process. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
