We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our specialist Heritage team. The team have enjoyed continued success, establishing a heritage business that is recognised as a leading name in the industry. You will have the opportunity to work on exciting and prestigious projects, delivering high quality work to our client base. Our central Manchester office is in the trendy area of Spinningfields and our Leeds office is in the heart of the city centre. Both offices boast modern, open plan and collaborative environments. You will be working alongside your heritage colleagues (based in Cambridge, London and Leeds) and a wealth of other disciplines to undertake national work, predominantly in the Built Heritage space supporting colleagues through the UK business as well as an external client base. This is a growth role to support the growing portfolio or work and clients in the North.

About you

You will have a relevant first degree and/or post-graduate qualification in historic environment conservation, architectural history, building conservation (or similar) and ideally be a full member of IHBC (or eligible). We are looking for sound technical knowledge of heritage planning policy, legislation and best practice guidance. At Associate level, we are ideally looking for experience in consultancy or a similar private sector environment. You should be confident in appraising heritage significance, conducting appeals, undertaking impact assessments and preparing and submitting planning/listed building consent applications for a wide range of schemes and apply that to our portfolio of clients across the UK. We are ideally seeking local knowledge of, and a track record of client relationships and working in the Leeds/Manchester/Northern region.
