Full skilled training provided, a great role with prospects

The Fireplace Company is recruiting a new team member to join our small, but growing business on a full-time basis. Initially you will be assisting qualified a HETAS Engineer installing wood burners but working towards HETAS installer qualifications if competent. Full training will be provided for the right candidate. The role will also include any building aspects and the building of media walls and plastering.

You will probably have a background in the building trade - plastering and rendering would be an advantage, happy to work at heights on ladders and have a (clean) full UK driving licence. Like many building trades, the work can be physically demanding and involve working outdoors in all weathers and lifting. As we are a small team, everyone gets involved in all aspects of the business and therefore this role will also include helping with our other teams and store room and yard duties when necessary.

We are looking for someone who is a team player, honest, reliable, able to undertake physically demanding work, has a positive and flexible attitude, good customer interaction skills, a practical mind and excellent communication skills.

Previous experience in the industry and customer service is helpful but not essential, as full training will be given.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Assisting our Hetas engineer in the installation of wood burning stoves, gas and electric fires, fireplaces, and flue systems Working at heights Heavy manual handling Receiving and dealing with deliveries Customer deliveries
On the job training will be provided for all aspects of our work.
