SELF EMPLOYED OR LTD COMPANY HGV CLASS1 CONTAINER DRIVER REQUIRED

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and professionalism, as well as the ability to manage routes effectively.

Responsibilities

Operate lorries in a safe and efficient manner, following all traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods during transport. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or delays. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety, compliance, and customer service. Assist with flatbed operations when required, ensuring secure loading and unloading of materials.

Requirements

Valid Commercial Driving Licence (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle being operated. Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws. Ability to operate flatbed lorries safely and efficiently is an advantage. Excellent time management skills with the ability to adhere to tight schedules. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. Must be physically fit to handle loading/unloading tasks as necessary.
