Job Overview

We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced

HGV Class 1 Fuel Tanker Driver

with

ADR (Tanks)

and

Petroleum Driver Passport (PDP)

certification to join our team in the Ellesmere Port/Stanlow area. This is a

permanent role with various shifts available

involving the safe and efficient delivery of fuel to commercial and retail customers.

The successful candidate must be fully inducted at the Stanlow terminal and committed to maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate a fuel tanker vehicle for deliveries to commercial and retail sites. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries, including quantities and types of fuel transported. Adhere to all safety procedures and legal requirements concerning the transport of hazardous materials. Maintain regular communication with dispatch, customers, and depot staff regarding delivery updates and potential issues. Keep the vehicle clean, well-maintained, and roadworthy at all times. Assist with the safe loading and unloading of fuel as necessary.

Candidate Requirements

Full HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence

with relevant tanker endorsements.

Valid ADR licence

(Tanks category essential).

Valid Petroleum Driver Passport (PDP).

Inducted at Stanlow terminal - Preferred

Previous experience in commercial and retail fuel delivery preferred. Solid understanding of road safety regulations and hazardous materials handling. Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
