Job Overview

We are a dynamic new company seeking a skilled and reliable HGV C1 Driver (tramper) to join our logistics team in Blackburn. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage delivery schedules effectively. Experience with curtain-side trailers is highly desirable.

Duties

Start Date: Must be able to start either on 08/09/2025 or 15/09/2025

Operate a MAN HGV in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations. A minimum of two years' experience in HGV C1 is required. Safely load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of loads on trailers. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transit. Communicate effectively with the transport team and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while on the road. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, ensuring that goods are delivered timely.

Experience & Benefits

Proven experience as a Commercial HGV C1 Delivery Driver is essential. Familiarity with curtain-side trailer operations is essential. Valid Drivers CPC qualification & Digi Card Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best driving practices. Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently. A good understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures will be beneficial.

PAYE - 800 per week (Monday to Friday) + 25 nights out

LTD and Self-Employed Drivers also welcome at 1000 per week, including nights out

Important considerations before applying for this position:

You will primarily operate from

BB1 2QH

and occasionally from PR2 5AP; please check travel times before applying. Currently, all work involves curtain-side general haulage, so only apply if you are comfortable with strapping and opening/closing curtains. We are only operating MAN TGX 510 trucks, so you will only be driving these trucks during your time with us. We offer competitive pay, but we are only looking for reliable and safe drivers, and you are expected to keep your truck clean and tidy. This work is straightforward, and you will be well-supported by our planners.
