Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver / Mill Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, and will be responsible for delivering goods safely and efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and that our customers receive their products on time.

Duties

Operate flatbed lorries to transport goods to various locations. Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, adhering to all safety regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Follow all traffic laws and regulations while on the road. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company positively.

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards. Ability to operate flatbed lorries safely and efficiently. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. A valid commercial driving licence is essential.

Pay: From 16.00 per hour
