Job Description

We are recruiting multi skilled HGV Class 1 drivers to join our team Monday to Friday with the occassional Saturday work.

The ideal candidate will have experience in operating all vehicles including 44 tonne bulkers, hookloaders, skip lorries and wagon & drag lorry.

The role involves the transportation of scrap metal to and from various sites which are all local and UK based.

We do require a minimum of 2 years HGV Class 1 experience for this role.

Duties:

Safely operate a combination of HGV's to include 44 tonne bulkers, hookloaders, skip lorry and wagon & drag lorry to designated locations Conduct pre & post trip inspections of vehicles to ensure it is safe and in good working order Ensure the loads are secured properly Maintain accurate paperwork and communicate effectively with the office regarding any issues of delays Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving our vehicles Provide excellent customer service and represent the Company in a professional manner Perform basic mechanical checks and maintenance on vehicle as needed
Requirements:

Valid C+E driving licence with a clean driving record Previous experience within a similar role would be preferred Good mechanical knowledge Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients Flexibility, including early mornings or late evenings if required

Pay: From 16.00 per hour

Schedule:

Day shift Monday to Friday Weekend availability
Work Location: In person
