Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving and a strong commitment to safety and customer service. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. You will arrive at our yard on Monday and will be out tramping all week and you will return Friday afternoon.

Duties

Operate flatbed/curtainside trailers for the safe delivery of goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper securing of loads. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as per company standards. Follow all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe driving practices. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations throughout the transportation process.

Requirements

Valid commercial driving licence (C+E) with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a delivery driver. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in driving. Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines consistently. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers. A commitment to maintaining high standards of vehicle cleanliness and maintenance.
