Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver willing to do Tramping to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service whilst also being able to stay away from home for a number of days. The successful applicant will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with box & curtain sided trailer deliveries.

Responsibilities

Operate lorries in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations. Safely load and unload goods, ensuring proper securing of cargo within a Curtainside & Box Trailer. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all company policies regarding safety, conduct, and vehicle maintenance. Provide excellent customer service while delivering goods to various locations.

Experience

Proven experience as a HGV Driver or in a similar role is preferred. HGV Driver's License must be 3 Months Old & No Points. Valid HGV Class 1 Driver's License or equivalent is essential. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving. Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently. Good communication skills for interaction with clients and team members.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract

Pay: Up to 180.00 per day
