LGV/HGV Truck Driver (LTD)

Driver position available as part of a family run business.

Previous refrigeration experience is highly desirable.

Shift pattern Sunday-Thursday tramping role with option of overtime on Friday.

Must be able to do early morning starts.

Runs to Scotland required.

Position would suit driver that is able to plan and work as part of a small team. Old school driving job.

This is a tramping role which entails 4 nights away per week (Nights out 25 per night)

Comfortable to drive long distances desirable.

Truck has microwave and inverter fitters. Custom leather carpets and seat and top and bottom light bar fitted

2yrs driving experience and clean license with no endorsements a requirement ( max 6 points excepted).

LTD drivers 200 per day + 25 per night out

Essential:

Must be punctual and have good communication skills.

Duties:

- Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods and materials to designated locations
- Plan and execute delivery routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks as needed
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while on the road
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members

Skills:

- Valid C+E Licence with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a truck driver or similar role
- Ability to operate and navigate various types of trucks and trailers
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, regulations, and safety procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet delivery deadlines
- Physical stamina to handle long hours on the road.
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively
