Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver for Container job to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage time effectively. Experience with flatbed deliveries and commercial driving is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Operate lorries in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations. Safely load and unload goods, ensuring proper securing of cargo, particularly for flatbed deliveries. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate delivery records and logs as required by company policy. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Adhere to all safety protocols while on the road and at delivery sites. Manage time efficiently to ensure timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of service.

Requirements

Valid commercial driving licence (C+E or equivalent) with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, particularly with flatbed lorries. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws. Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading tasks as required.
