Overview

We are seeking a professional and reliable Container Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. Responsibilities

Safely operate flatbed lorries over short and long-distance routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring items are secured properly for transit. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules or delays. Follow all company policies related to driving hours, rest periods, and vehicle maintenance. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, including courteous communication and promptness. Report any incidents or accidents immediately to the appropriate authorities and company management.

Experience

Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with flatbed lorries or similar vehicles. Delivery driver experience is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with route planning and time management. Valid driving licence suitable for operating heavy goods vehicles (HGV). Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods securely. Experience in handling specialised cargo on flatbeds is an advantage but not essential. This role is vital for ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics services, requiring a dedicated individual committed to safety, punctuality, and professional conduct.
