Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HGV Class 1 Tramping Driver for UK and Europe routes, with trips lasting around 2 weeks. Pay for self employed / freelance is 180 a day where you are responsible for your taxes. Duties

Drive HGV Class 1 vehicles across the UK and Europe, ensuring timely delivery of goods. Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding routes and schedules. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road. Ensure the secure loading and unloading of cargo, particularly when operating flatbed vehicles. Manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines while maintaining high safety standards.

Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving, specifically with HGV Class 1 vehicles. Previous roles as a delivery driver or in logistics will be advantageous. Familiarity with flatbed operations is a plus. A valid HGV Class 1 licence is essential, along with a clean driving record. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are required to manage paperwork and vehicle checks effectively. Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders throughout the delivery process.
