About the Role:
Due to expansion, we are looking for a skilled and dedicated HGV Class 1 Driver for a full-time general haulage tramping role. This position involves nationwide deliveries and collections, with regular time spent at RDCs waiting to load or unload. Night out allowance of 26 per night is paid in addition to the stated salary.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely drive a Heavy Goods Vehicle (Class 1) across the UK for general haulage. Complete nationwide deliveries and collections, including RDCs. Ensure punctual and efficient delivery of goods in line with client requirements. Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects. Accurately complete all required paperwork and records. Maintain clear and professional communication with planners, team members, and clients.
Requirements:
Valid and clean HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence. Driver CPC and digital tachograph card. Previous general haulage and tramping experience desirable. Strong knowledge of driver hours, tacho rules, and road transport regulations. Good time management and ability to work independently. Professional attitude and good communication skills.
