Job Summary

We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely across designated routes, ensuring timely deliveries. Responsibilities

Safely operate lorries for general haulage, pallet work Ensure all cargo is securely loaded and properly balanced before transit. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns. Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during deliveries. Plan routes efficiently to optimise delivery times and minimise fuel consumption. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance logs. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays. Assist with loading and unloading goods when necessary, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with delivery driver experience in general haulage/ pallets operations. Valid driving licence suitable for operating large vehicles (category C+E or equivalent). Demonstrable knowledge of general haulage/ pallet procedures. Strong driving skills with a clean driving record. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to follow schedules precisely. Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high safety standards. Physical fitness to handle loading, unloading, and long hours on the road.
