Job Description
Uniserve is looking for a dependable and experienced Class 1 Night Driver to join their growing transport team. You will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery and collection of goods during night-time operations. This is a key role in keeping our logistics network running smoothly overnight.
Salary:
43,086 annual.Shift pattern:
Rolling rota of 5 on, 2 off, 5 on, 3 off.Key Responsibilities:
Operate a Class 1 (C+E) vehicle to complete night trunking, collections, and deliveries. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks in line with company and DVSA standards. Ensure loads are secured correctly and comply with all safety requirements. Adhere to tachograph, Working Time Directive, and road transport regulations. Complete all delivery and collection paperwork accurately. Communicate effectively with the night transport office and planners. Maintain a professional attitude and represent the company positively at all times. Keep your vehicle clean, tidy, and roadworthy.
Requirements:
Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence. Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card. Previous experience in night trunking or general haulage (preferred). Strong understanding of UK road transport legislation. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Reliable, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented.
