HGV Tipper Drivers Class 1 (C + E)

Due to continued growth and development, an exciting opportunity has arisen for professional and committed HGV Class 1 Tipper Drivers looking for stability of employment and with a history of good attendance and reliability.

Applicants must demonstrate the below key responsibilities;

A strong understanding of all relevant, Health & Safety legislation associated with the role. Drive and manoeuvre the Class 1 tipper truck in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Conduct regular "walk-around" safety and condition checks, including daily defect reporting, and perform minor maintenance. Safely load and unload aggregate materials, ensuring the load is distributed properly and secured. Ensure the vehicle weight and dimensions are respected and that all goods are safely secured during transit. Prepare and submit all required paperwork accurately and on time. Communicate professionally with customers and colleagues to coordinate deliveries and collections. Adhere to company health and safety policies, environmental procedures, and all other company policies. Communicate professionally with customers, colleagues, and Transport Office to coordinate deliveries and collections. Solid understanding of Drivers hours, Working Time Directive & Tachograph Regulations. The ability to deliver excellent customer service and promote the Company name at all times. Maintain a polite and professional demeanour as a representative of the company. Good communication skills to both our Customers and the Transport Office. A strong team ethic.

Licences and Skills

Hold a clean, valid HGV Class 1 (C + E) licence Hold a valid CPC Card Hold a valid Driver Card Experience with tipper trucks is often preferred. Ability to stay calm under pressure and work to deadlines. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Pay and Benefits Package

14.50 per hour and 21.75 per hour on Saturdays. Monday to Friday 6am to 5pm and alternate Saturdays as required 6m to 1pm. 5 daily meal allowance Weekly Pay Company pension scheme Holidays: 20 days per annum plus statutory bank holidays Long-term security with a family run business Well maintained fleet
