Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods using a bulk tipper lorry. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate various routes while ensuring timely deliveries.

Duties

Operate a bulk tipper lorry to transport goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Deliver loads in a timely and safe manner ensuring OTIF delivery. Maintain accurate paperwork and reports as required. Ensure efficient time management. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the lorry both inside and out. Complete daily walk round checks and defect reporting via TMS system

Requirements

Valid HGV Class 1 driving licence. Proven experience as a HGV driver in a similar role is preferred but not essential. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record. Ability to night out when the needs of the business require. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. A professional attitude with a focus on customer service. Must have a valid MPQC card.
