Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled HGV Class 1 Tramper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods across various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and compliance with all driving regulations, as well as excellent customer service skills.

Duties

Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, primarily curtain sider trailers, for long-distance transportation of goods. Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, adhering to all safety protocols. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order. Maintain accurate delivery records and logs in compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Drive responsibly while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations, ensuring the safety of yourself and others on the road. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally at all times.

Qualifications

Valid HGV Class 1 driving licence with a clean driving record. Experience as a class 1 driver is preferred, particularly with general haulage experience. Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen attention to detail. Flexibility to work varied hours as required by the job demands.

Pay: From 14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 60 - 65 per week
