Chiltern Transport & Warehousing Limited are looking to add to their "Tramper Fleet", with the addition of a Tramper Driver; we are a long-established Company with modern equipment and a replacement program of top end Tractor Units, being replaced every 2 years - you will be based at our Leighton Buzzard Site.

Key Functions of the Role
:
This role will involve 3 to 4 nights outs a week, mainly in the Midlands, Greater Manchester and Yorkshire Area's.
To collect and deliver freight on behalf of Chiltern Transport
To complete paperwork provided
To complete all given tasks to the best of your ability
To adhere to all company policy and procedures as outlined with the Staff and Drivers' Handbook particularly those including Health & Safety, Hygiene and the cleanliness and integrity of the product you are carrying
To be courteous to all staff and customers and communicate effectively throughout the working shift
To keep all driving records including mileage, tachos, time sheets, receipts, defect reports and daily de-brief reports
Performing simple vehicle maintenance including changing bulbs, fueling the vehicle, reporting defects to your line manager and taking the vehicle for repairs / inspection
To secure the load and integrity of the goods on your vehicle and ensure zero damage
Appropriately operate all equipment as required
To be prepared to work in any traffic, weather and timing according to the Company's business needs
To maintain your assigned vehicle both inside and outside

Pay: 42,000.00 per year
