We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Tramper to join our team, with LTD accepted This role involves long-distance freight transportation across various locations, primarily focusing on curtainsider.

Responsibilities

Operate HGV Class 1 lorries with curtainsider trailers across national routes, ensuring compliance with all road safety laws and company policies. Conduct pre-journey inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness and report any defects or issues promptly. Secure loads effectively on flatbed trailers, ensuring stability and safety during transit. Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules while adhering to legal driving hours and rest periods. Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and tachograph records. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery times, delays, or issues encountered during transit. Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with clients and colleagues, representing the company positively at all times.

Qualifications

Valid HGV Class 1 licence with LTD acceptance. Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed trailers and long-distance deliveries. Delivery driver experience is highly desirable, demonstrating reliability and punctuality. Strong understanding of UK road regulations and safety standards for large vehicles. Ability to operate a flatbed trailer safely and securely load/unload cargo as required. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently. Good communication skills to liaise effectively with dispatch teams and clients.
