We're a growing transport company specializing in container & general haulage. We've recently secured a new contract and are looking for a reliable

Class 1 HGV Driver

with tramping experience to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods across various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and compliance with all driving regulations. The successful applicant will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, and a passion for delivering excellent service.

Duties

Transporting containers to and from ports/customers. Ensure the safe collection and delivery of cargo, adhering to all safety protocols. Conduct regular vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure roadworthiness. Complete delivery paperwork accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain communication with the logistics team regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, representing the company positively.

Experience

Valid Driver CPC & Digital Tachograph Card. Minimum 1 years' experience with container work & tramping. Familiarity with container work is advantageous. Good knowledge of UK road networks & port procedures.. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently. A professional attitude with good communication skills.

Pay: From 14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 - 62 per week
