Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled HGV Class 1 Tramping driver full time Monday to Friday position to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for driving and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. This role involves long-distance driving, often requiring overnight stays away from home, while ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods across various locations. We accept LTD.

Responsibilities

Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies. Transport goods efficiently and safely to designated locations, ensuring timely deliveries. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Handle trailer loads with care, ensuring proper securing of cargo to prevent damage during transit. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally at all times.

Experience

Valid HGV Class 1 licence with a clean driving record is essential. Previous experience as a commercial driver or delivery driver is highly desirable. Familiarity with curtain sided trailer Strong understanding of road regulations and health and safety standards in the transport industry. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently on long-distance routes.
