Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled HGV Class 1 Driver for a tramping position based in Immingham. This role involves long-distance driving, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods across various locations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while maintaining excellent customer service standards.

Duties

Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, primarily flatbed lorries, for the transportation of goods. Ensure compliance with all road traffic regulations and company policies. Conduct pre-journey vehicle checks to ensure safety and operational efficiency. Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery schedules while minimising fuel consumption. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any necessary paperwork. Communicate with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all health and safety regulations while on the road and at delivery sites.

Experience

PAYE & LTD ACCEPTED 17- 21 p/h Tramping required Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with HGV Class 1 licence. Experience in flatbed driving is advantageous but not essential. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in delivery driving. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently. A customer-focused attitude with strong communication skills.

Pay: 17.00-21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 - 65 per week
