INITIAL 6 MONTH CONTRACT, TO BE REVIEWED ON COMPLETION

Class 2 Delivery driver required to join our team in Launceston. 14 per hour, 50 hour paid week during summer schedule, 42 hour paid week during winter schedule. NO NIGHTS OUT, NO WEEKENDS

Smales are a national supplier of Frozen Fish, Seafood and catering products to the Fish & Chip sector, and fast food wholesalers, with heritage dating back to the 1937, and are a business built on providing our customers with a friendly, reliable and efficient delivery service. Our drivers engage with our customer's day in, day out, and they provide a great customer focus and a professional face for our business.

We require adriver to join the team at our depot in Launceston, delivering to customers throughout Devon & Cornwall 5 days per week. Reporting directly to the Depot Manager your duties will include: -

Delivering products in a clean & tidy manner directly to Smales' customers on an assigned route, providing a high standard of customer service.

Completing a daily vehicle and auxiliary equipment check before the vehicle leaves site and reporting any defects using the agreed vehicle defect procedure.

Ensure all relevant documentation including delivery notes, proof of delivery, and return notes are completed accurately with required information, and returned to site on a daily basis.

Between 6-12 deliveries on average daily so you will need to be physically active as the job can involve lifting products.

We require a full, clean driving licence (or no more than 6 points) and experience of multi drop deliveries is preferred but full training will be given.
