Driving: Safely operate a HGV CLASS 2 Vehicle to transport goods/materials to designated locations.
Loading and Unloading: Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are properly secured for transit.
Route Planning: Plan efficient routes to minimize delivery time and fuel consumption.
Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance tasks, such as checking fluid levels and tire pressure.
Documentation: Maintain accurate delivery records and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, including friendly interactions and timely deliveries.
Adherence to Regulations: Adhere to traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Work Experience:
Previous experience as a HGV driver, preferably with experience driving a HGV Class 2 Vehicle.
Experience in loading and unloading cargo safely.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
Skills:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Problem-solving skills to handle unexpected situations on the road.
Physical fitness for lifting and moving heavy items.
Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle being driven.
Additional certifications or training in defensive driving, vehicle maintenance, or logistics is a plus.
