HGV Class 2 Driver

on a

Temp to Perm

basis. Our Client are a specialist carrier for banking and computer equipment across the UK and Europe.

17.51 per hour depending on experience (including holiday pay)

07:00AM to 15:00PM Monday to Friday, occasional weekends and overtime so flexibility is a must!

You may be required to stay overnight for some deliveries

All-round Duties:

As a Class 2 Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism Complete deliveries and installation of electronic equipment - Full knowledge and training given so you can best assist in the final part of the installation process Manual handling of heavy electronic equipment - this role is very physically demanding. Complete deliveries correctly and efficiently, in a professional and timely manner Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, including checking fuel levels, tyre pressure, and fluid levels Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations

Requirements:

Valid UK CAT C manual licence for at least 2 years with no more than 6 points (no DR DD TT IN or MS90 endorsements) Valid CPC and TACHO At least 1 year HGV Class 2 driving experience (references required) Have more than 90 days appropriate driving experience (Cat C) in the past 12 months Physically fit, as some jobs require lifting and shifting Excellent verbal and written English skills to interact with customers and team members Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards
