Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team for cage work. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, and will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to all transport regulations.

Duties

Operate flatbed lorries in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo, securing it properly for transport to prevent damage during transit. Maintain accurate delivery logs, documenting mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during the trip. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Ensure that all cargo is delivered on time while adhering to company policies and procedures. Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence (C+E or equivalent) with a clean driving record. Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with flatbed lorries and their specific loading/unloading requirements is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A commitment to safety and compliance with all relevant regulations.
