Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to manage various driving tasks.

Duties

Operate lorries for the transportation of goods across designated routes. Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery logs and vehicle maintenance reports. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, ensuring the safety of yourself and others on the road. Assist in the planning of routes to optimise delivery times and fuel efficiency.

Skills

Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of commercial driving practices. Excellent driving skills with a valid commercial driving licence. Strong skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate delivery records. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills. A commitment to providing excellent customer service at all times.
