Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods across various locations. This role involves operating a flatbed lorry and ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies.

Duties

Safely operate a flatbed lorry for the transportation of goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition. Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport. Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork related to deliveries. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit. Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations governing commercial driving. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company positively at all times.

Experience

Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with flatbed lorries. Valid HGV licence with a clean driving record is essential. Familiarity with delivery routes and logistics operations is advantageous. Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety protocols. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
