Job Description

We are currently looking for a Class 2 Driver to carry out scheduled commercial waste collections in Edinburgh. Shift pattern is Monday to Friday (45 hours per week)

You will be responsible for dealing with commercial customers, emptying wheelie bins and collecting waste sacks. You will also be required to follow all safe systems of work, checking the condition of the vehicle and fill in any associated paperwork as such. Driving and assisting with safe loading and unloading as well as dealing with customers will take up most of your working time.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

- Safe and efficient bin waste collection

- Provide good customer service to our customers

- General housekeeping of the working area and vehicle

- Cooperating with management and co-workers

- Following all site health and safety rules

- Other duties as required

Requirements:

- Must hold a Cat C LGV Drivers License (Class 2)

- Good communicative English

- Able to work as a part of team

- Punctual, Flexible and Reliable

- Friendly and Courteous to Customers

- Experience in Waste & Recycling is desirable but not essential

- To learn the route and build relationships with customers

- Follow correct manual handling techniques and report any issues and, or damage to bins etc.
