We are a friendly and growing textile recycling company, specialising in the manufacture of eco-friendly industrial cleaning rags. We're on the lookout for a personable and reliable

HGV Class 2 Driver

to join our team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to be part of a close-knit operation with regular hours, no long-haul expectations, and a meaningful role at the heart of our supply chain.

About the Role:

As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a vital part in both

raw material collections

and

finished goods deliveries

. Most routes are local, within a 100-mile radius of our East London facility - typically no more than 90 minutes' drive each way - meaning

you'll be home every evening

, with no overnight stays required.

You will represent the business when dealing with clients and suppliers, so a friendly, respectful, and professional attitude is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Driving a HGV Class 2 vehicle to and from supplier and customer sites Loading and unloading vehicles, including, but not limited to:
Moving medium to heavyweight wheeled cages using the tail lift

Occasionally lifting bags and bundles of textiles or rags

Securing loads using ratchet straps and ensuring safe transport of goods Completing basic paperwork, such as delivery notes and collection records Carrying out routine vehicle checks and reporting any issues Maintaining cleanliness and presentation of the vehicle Following all road transport and safety regulations

Requirements - Essential:

Valid

HGV Class 2 Licence

Current

Digi Tachograph Card

Full

Driver CPC Qualification

Confident and experienced using

ratchet straps

to secure loads Good physical fitness and willingness to undertake manual handling Strong timekeeping, communication skills, and a proactive attitude

Desirable:

Previous experience in a recycling, textiles, or logistics environment A good understanding of East London and surrounding areas Forklift experience
