We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to operate various types of vehicles, including flatbed lorries.

Duties

Safely drive and operate a flatbed lorry for the delivery of goods to specified locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of items for transport. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Report any accidents or incidents immediately to management.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving, with a valid HGV licence. Familiarity with flatbed lorry operations is highly desirable. Strong navigation skills and knowledge of local routes. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good communication skills for effective interaction with customers and colleagues. Attention to detail, particularly in maintaining logs and ensuring cargo safety.
