Job Purpose:

To maintain a first class delivery and collection service to customers throughout the UK and Ireland.

Key responsibilities and main tasks:

Deliver merchandise to customer premises in an efficient, safe and courteous manner. Unload deliveries and load any collections on to lorry. Provide excellent customer service. Collect COD's and issue invoices to customers. Obtain customer's signature on paperwork Log delivery problems in detail and contact Logistics/Sales with any queries if necessary. Process return merchandise. Follow all safety procedures including a visual vehicle checklist. Ensure vehicle is maintained and carry out any general housekeeping duties.

Criteria - NOTE THIS JOB WILL REQUIRE GOING OUT TO GB ON SUNDAY DAY OR EVENING AND AVERAGES BETWEEN 45-55 HOURS PER WEEK. THE WEEKLY RATE OF PAY INCLUDES ALL ALLOWANCES ETC FOR BEING AWAY FROM HOME. ACCOMMODATION IS PAID FOR BY THE COMPANY.

Qualifications:

Full clean driving licence including cat C1. Must have CPC and TACHO cards

Relevant experience:

Experience of driving a 7.5 tonne lorry

Experience of carrying out multi-drop deliveries

Good geographical knowledge

Experience of dealing with customers

Skills/Aptitudes:

Excellent administration skills

Verbal and written communication skills

Computer literate

Good numeric skills

Personal characteristics:

Reliability

Trustworthy

Ability to work on own initiative

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 30,000.00-40,000.00 per year
