Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled RORO Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for Delivery and collection of ROROS ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to operate various types of vehicles, including flatbed lorries.

Responsibilities

Drive RORO Trucks, to deliver to designated locations. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper securing of loads for safe transport. Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of mileage, fuel usage, and other necessary documentation. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, promoting safety on the road. Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents immediately to management.

Skills

Proven experience as a driver or in a similar commercial driving role. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for driving large vehicles. Ability to operate RORO lorries safely and efficiently. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in maintaining logs and records. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. A valid commercial driving licence is essential; additional certifications are advantageous.
