Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled HGV Class 2 Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations and safety protocols. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to manage various driving tasks, including curtainsider wagons.

Duties

Operate a lorry for the delivery of goods to various locations in a safe and efficient manner. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo, ensuring that it is secured properly for transport. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery logs and vehicle maintenance reports. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Follow all company policies and procedures, as well as local traffic laws, to ensure safety on the road. Assist with curtainsider operations as required, ensuring compliance with load restrictions and safety standards.

Experience

Experience operating curtainsider lorries is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
