Job Summary

We are seeking a professional and reliable HGV Class 2 Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Experience in commercial driving, particularly with rigid lorries, is highly desirable. Duties

Operate rigid lorries vehicles in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules and optimise fuel consumption Load and unload goods carefully, ensuring items are secured properly during transit Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify any maintenance issues or safety concerns Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery times and any potential delays Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and safety procedures during all driving activities Assist with general vehicle maintenance tasks as required
Payment

175 per day + 25 night out.

TRAMPING Monday to Friday.

Early start on Monday morning between 4 to 6am.

Experience

Proven experience as a delivery driver or commercial driver, preferably with rigid lorries Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving Experience in handling delivery schedules efficiently under tight deadlines Familiarity with route planning tools and GPS systems is advantageous Previous experience with delivery driver roles involving heavy or specialised vehicles is preferred
This position requires a dedicated individual committed to safe driving practices, punctuality, and excellent customer service. Applicants should possess a valid driving licence suitable for operating commercial vehicles, along with relevant experience in the field.
